How did I start with Handmade Items?
A little about me, I'm a stay at home mom in Indiana and I started sewing seriously many years ago after seeing a boutique handmade outfit on Ebay that I fell in love with... the problem was, the outfit was going for way more than I could afford. I dusted off my sewing machine and got to work. After several outfits for her, and many compliments from family and strangers I knew this was the road to my passion....I haven't stopped since!
.Well, I've since gotten a new sewing machine, an actual sewing area (I began in the dining room, and boy was that a crazy mess!)...an area for all my fabric finds (I would be embarrased to say just how many fabric "finds" I have)...and walah! a few years later here I am selling on my own web site!
.My handbags, purses, clothing and misc. other items are 98 percent my own design and pattern, once in a while I will find a really neat pattern for a bag and I'll make one...only to re-invent the whole thing over the next time I make it. As you look at my things in my store, and the things that I have sold, you will no notice that there will be very few of the same pattern and design repeated. I love to try new designs, and rarely buy more than enough fabric for 1 item, as I get bored doing anything repetitive....I usually don't know what the bag is going to look like until I have the fabric laid out on the cutting board with the scissors in my hand, then I just go with whatever I feel at the time. Be assured that you will not be buying "cookie cutter" items from my store. If you see something you like, you probably better grab it up soon, because once it's gone I probably won't be doing anything like it again. (if you absolutely love one of my past items, contact me and we can probably try to come up with something similar though).
.Thanks so much for visiting my little shop in the big web, and I hope you see something you truly would love to own, if not....then be sure to check back again soon, as I am cutting something new right now!
